Anita Sefa Boakye Warns Workers Not To Accept MoMo Payments At Her Fuel Station Due to E-levy charges

Anita Sefa Boakye, daughter of the owner of Anita Hotel, has reportedly warned workers at her filling Station not to accept payment for fuel products via Mobile Money (MoMo).

Due to the implementation of the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy) by GRA, some businesses in Ghana have decided to stop using Mobile Money for transactions on order not to incur losses.

Adakabre Frimpong Manso, a radio presenter at Neat FM, shared his experience at a filling station owned by Anita Sefa Boakye at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

According to him, he was returning to Accra after a long weekend and decided to top up his fuel tank by 200 cedis using Momo, when he stopped by the filling station, an attendant told him that their madam has warned them not to accept MoMo.

Expressing his displeasure, Adakabre said he would get in touch with Janet Sefa Boakye,owner of Anita Hotel to make proper enquiries because he doesn’t understand the directive Anita has given to her Workers.
