Asamoah Gyan Or Abedi Pele? Debate Sparks Over First Ghanaian Footballer To Publish His Autobiography.

Battle between Asamoah Gyan’s manager And Abedi Pele’s spokesperson over the successful book launch of “LEGYANDARY”.

A serious debate has sparked on Twitter between Asamoah Gyan’s manager and the spokesperson for the Ayew family barely a week after Asamoah Gyan launched his autobiography “LeGyandary”.

The debate is about who was the first Ghanaian football player to publish his autobiography.

Fiifi Tackie, the spokesperson for the Ayew family tweeted, disagreeing with the fact that Asamoah Gyan is the first Ghanaian footballer to issue an autobiography.

He added some archived photos as evidence to back his claim and solidify his point. Also, Fiifi added that the autobiography of Abedi Pele was written in both English and French versions.

He wrote, “The Maestro’ Abedi Ayew Pele’s Autobiography was written in 1992 in English and French versions.

This is a copy of the French version.
Sammy Anim Addo, the manager of Asamoah Gyan later attacked Fiifi Tackie, claiming that the latter was attempting to shift focus and attention from Gyan’s successful book launch.

Anim Addo couldn’t understand why Fiifi Tackie was making a fuss on Abedi Pele simply because he despises the name Asamoah Gyan.

  1. No one can dispute the fact that Asamoah Gyan’s LEGYANDRY was a successful launch

However this debate should not spark as to who wrote first!
I was in JHS when I read the Abedi Pele’s Magazine.
It the best football magazine one could ever imagine to read

It time our players start writing good books about their playing time
