Former Black Stars player, Asamoah Gyan and other players has paid a visit to Christian Atsu Twasam’s family to commiserate with them.
On Saturday, February 18, 2023, the remains of Atsu were recovered from the rubble after a long search following the earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023.

Right after his remains were found, the foreign affairs ministry arranged for them to be flown into his home country, Ghana. The body arrived at the Terminal 2 VIP section of the Kotoka International Airport at 7:30 pm.

Former Black Stars players, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Agyeman Badu, and Haminu Dramani visited the family of Atsu as they commiserate with them.

The family has disclosed that they want mortal remains of their son, Christian Atsu Twasam to be buried in his hometown, Ada in Greater Accra.

However, the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured the family of Christian Atsu of the state’s massive support for a befitting burial.
