Ronaldo’s first goal for his new team came from the penalty spot. With Al Nassr heading towards defeat, a poor challenge from an Al Fateh player gave them a lifeline and earned them a penalty. Ronaldo made no mistake from the six-yard spot and calmly put the ball in the back of the net to open his tally in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo had a frustrating first half in search of his first goal. He missed two glorious chances over the course of the 45 minutes. On one occasion, Ronaldo had an open goal in front of him but somehow managed to sky the ball over the bar, much to the surprise of anyone. A few minutes later, Ronaldo’s teammate set him up in a glorious position inside the box, but the Portuguese hit the bar.
