‘I didn’t mean to disrespect you’ Kizz Daniel apologizes to Tanzanian fans, offers free show

Nigerian superstar Kizz Daniel has held a press conference to clear the air after he was arrested for failing to appear at a show in Tanzania.

Kizz Daniel was billed to perform at a sold-out show in Tanzania on 7th August 2022. The show which according to the organizers had about 3000 fans in attendance with Kizz Daniel expected to perform his 2022 hit single ‘Buga’.

Kizz Daniel was arrested in Tanzania on Monday afternoon, 8th August 2022, by the Tanzanian police for failing to perform at the show and was released late into the night after being detained by the police for over 5 hours.

To address the issues behind the event, Kizz held a press conference on Wednesday, 10th August 2022. According to the artist, the problem started when his luggage was forgotten in Kenya by the airline that conveyed him to Tanzania.

He revealed that all efforts to address the situation failed and he communicated this to the organizers. He also apologised for his absence and the disrespect it conveyed to the fans.

As a show of his remorse, Kizz revealed that he will be holding a free show on Friday, 12th August 2022 in Tanzania.
