Justin Bieber Suffers Partial facial paralysis. The Right Side Of His Face Is Paralyzed

Canadian pop singer, Justin Bieber has disclosed that he is battling with partial facial paralysis.

Justin shared a video on his Instagram page and opened up why his shows are cancelled.

In the video the singer stated that he is suffering from facial paralysis, the right side of his face is paralyzed, so he has no option than to call off the show.

“As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face… So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face,” he stated.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is an infection of a facial nerve. It is a neurological disorder in which the Varicella zoster virus infects specific nerves in the head. The condition is also known as Herpes zoster oticus.

Justin Bieber is supposed to continue his World Tour which began in February. Three of his shows is cancelled due to his condition.

Justin Bieber added that “It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis,”

Justin Bieber begged his fans to keep calm, though he is physically, obviously, not capable of doing the show.

He also smiled and blinked, showing his 240 million followers how the right side of his face did not move.

“This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but, obviously, my body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down,” he said. “I hope you guys understand. I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent so that I can do what I was born to do.”

Bieber added that he has been doing facial exercises to “get back to normal”, but that he does not know how long it will take to recover.

He had been due to play in Washington DC and Toronto earlier this week, with concerts also planned in New York and Los Angeles in the coming weeks.
