A final-year student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a police officer from the Ashanti Regional Police Command are reportedly being detained for allegedly gang-rapping a female student and recording it.
According to 3news.com, the two suspects lured the victim into an off-campus hostel at Bomso, where they allegedly coerced her into satisfying their barbaric desires. This horrible incident reportedly happened on Wednesday, July 20.
Frank Adu Poku, the purported police officer, and his accomplice are currently in custody.
Reports revealed that the police officer and the accomplice student were both kept at the Apiadu Police Station before being transferred to the regional command at the instruction of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) for further investigations.
