Murdered Ashaiman Soldier Buried at Burma Camp

Imoro Sherrif was laid to rest by the Ghana Armed Forces (GFA) on March 9, 2023, in Accra.

Military personnel transferred the soldier’s remains from the mortuary at the 37 Military Hospital to the graveyard at Burma Camp.

Muslim prayers were conducted before to his burial as troops were present at the cemetery to witness the funeral of their late colleague.

The 22-year-old soldier was killed at Taifa, an Ashaiman area. He was a member of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) band stationed in Sunyani, Bono Region.

On Saturday morning, unidentified assailants repeatedly stabbed him.

The soldier was traveling toward his residence in Zongo-Laka in Ashaiman after returning from his girlfriend’s house in Taifa, according to sources.

Invading Taifa, where the incident took place, troops believed to have come from Michel and Burma Camp brutalized the residents and imprisoned 150 people.

Sheiff Imoro’s family is still sobbing terribly as their son is laid to rest.
