The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday, 22 February, led a delegation to make a cash donation of GH₵10,000 to support the family of the late Christian Atsu.

Among the delegates were General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua, National Organiser of the party, Henry Nana Boakye, Nasara coordinator, Aziz Haruna Futah and other officials.
Earlier, Liberia’s President, George Oppong Weah also sent a delegation to the late footballer’s residence to make a cash donation of $10,000.

The delegation was led by former Ghanaian footballer, Pastor Kwame Ayew who later relayed Oppong Weah’s message to the Twasam family and went ahead to sign the book of condolence on behalf of the president.
The bereaved family of the late Christian Atsu has continued to receive sympathisers as well cash donations since the arrival of his remains in Ghana on Sunday, 19 February, 2023.
