The popular Holywood actress Anne Heche passed away days after she was involved in a catastrophic car accident.
The 53-year-old “Donnie Brasco” actress suffered serious injuries, including an anoxic brain injury, in a mishap in Los Angeles last week that put her in a coma. She slammed her Mini Cooper into a house.
Nancy Davis, a close friend of Heche, announced her death on Instagram on Friday.
“There is a new angel in heaven. My gorgeous, kind, fun-loving, and compassionate buddy @anneheche passed to heaven.
“I shall remember all of the lovely moments we have shared and mourn her tremendously. The kindest, most considerate person I’ve ever met, Anne always brought out the best in me.
“She was so supportive with anything she could do to help @racetoerasems and would always say yes when she knew she could contribute something with her time, talent, and creative genius to help find a cure for MS.
“My heart is broken #heavenhasanewangel #heavenhasanotherangel.”
She added broken heart emojis and an angel symbol to the post.
This is a sad day. Heche’s ex, legendary talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, also broke her silence on Friday. All of my love goes out to Anne’s kids, family, and friends.
Heche had entered a coma as a result of the crash on August 5, according to a spokesperson for the actress who spoke to TMZ on Monday.
“Anne Heche is in severe condition,” they reported, adding that she lost consciousness soon after the accident and fell into a coma.
