He pointed out that the government’s efforts had led to a strengthening of the Cedi against the US dollar and a decrease in fuel prices.

Speaking to the media in Accra on Friday, December 9, Mr. Owusu-Bempah said the government recognises the economic difficulties facing Ghanaians. He was responding to the minority’s unsuccessful attempt to remove Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta through a censure motion.

“The Minority’s defeat of the censure in Parliament is a signal of the NDC’s defeat in 2024,” he said.

“They will do everything in their power to topple this government, and they will try to persuade Ghanaians with their vile propaganda, but the people of Ghana will reject them in the 2024 elections,” he continued.

“This is a message for the entire country written on a wall. The Cedi is currently performing well against the Dollar, petrol prices are decreasing at the pump, and the economy is improving despite all the difficulties facing the world. It indicates that the Akufo-Addo administration is functioning.

“We are a listening government, and we are going to work. We believe in the Ghanaian people who gave us the mandate. Insha Allah, we will break the eight in 2024.
