Kwabena Andrew, who was running for president for the first time, received 105,548 votes, or 0.805%, of the 13,119,460 total votes cast.

He argues that there are many excellent talents out there that go unrecognized because of their political ties and that he is here to change how party politics is perceived.

Even though he lost, the man of God who stood for president on the platform of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) to see if Ghanaians wanted a different type of leadership had a big influence.

In a research conducted by the University of Ghana’s (UG) Political Science Department prior to the general elections, the Ghana Union Movement placed in third place.
