A 38-year-old Ghanaian man, Ernest Opoku, has sadly passed away from kidney disease after five years of dialysis treatment.

Ernest was reported dead today, November 8th 2022, via a post shared on social media by Okay FM.
He had been suffering from kidney disease since 2017 and has been spending a fortune every single week to receive dialysis treatment.

He essentially spent Ghc 2,040 every week just to stay alive and these costs are minus what else he spent on medication prescribed for him.
Opoku had been soliciting for funds to travel outside for a kidney transplant from as far back as 2018 but that apparently never materialised.
